Make coffee
worth exploring.
KFC’s coffee offer needed a distinctive promotional concept. The project was an experiment with the coffee proposition: a reason to discover the range, rather than another static list of drinks.
KFC / COFFEE CAMPAIGN
A coffee promotion with a character, not just a product catalogue. Keiss Media conceived the sleepy-owl idea and took it from creative development to an interactive website and promotional banners.

FROM A PRODUCT TO A STORY
KFC’s coffee offer needed a distinctive promotional concept. The project was an experiment with the coffee proposition: a reason to discover the range, rather than another static list of drinks.
A familiar sleepy-owl joke became the campaign’s central idea. Choosing a coffee changed the character’s behaviour. The product itself made the story happen.
The website brought together five coffee choices, animated owl reactions and sharing. The idea carried into promotional banners.
THE COFFEE WEBSITE
This is the concept as an experience. Choose one of five coffees and see how the owl responds.
It’s been a long night. Choose a coffee below and see what happens.
Your coffee?
FIVE COFFEES. FIVE REACTIONS.Choose a coffee to play its reaction. You can pause the animation or start again; reduced-motion preferences are respected. This preview does not offer ordering or run a competition.
The owl and its animation frames are original campaign assets, recovered from the production archive. The English interface, layout and controls are a contemporary reconstruction, not a recovered live website. The project’s character, coffee choices and reactions inform the presentation; no additional historical delivery or current offer is claimed.
English presentations of the archived coffee screens are shown below. The refreshed laptop illustration on our home page brings these same characters and choices together in one portfolio composition.
A separate, smaller project: a memory game for an in-restaurant touchscreen panel. Guests matched pairs of cards and took part in recurring prize draws.
